No author given [compiler identified in ink on the cover]. Huber spelling variations: Hoover, Hover, Hueber, Hoober, Huver, Hober, etc. In 1709 Queen Anne of England financed a fleet of ships to carry Germans to colonize the Mohawk valley of New York state. Arriving in the 3rd was Margreta Huberin (the "in" suffix denotes female); also in that party was Jacob Hoeper, with wife and 3 children. Arriving with the 5th group was Krist Hober. Also in the 1709 group was Jacob Huber, age 30, his wife, a son age 13, a daughter 10, and a daughter 7. Felix Huber, departed on 8 September 1739 from the parish Regensburg, a glazier, age 37, wife Anna Mueller 39, and daughter Catharina age 5. |
