The place and date of publication are disputed. The opinion of M.C. Tyler (Literary history of the American revolution, v. 1, p. 101) that this is the first edition, published at Annapolis in Oct. 1765, is refuted by L.C. Wroth (A history of printing in colonial Maryland, entry no. 257) who says place and printer are unknown. J.E. Alden (The Boston edition of Daniel Dulany's "Considerations ...", New England Quarterly, v. 13, no. 1940) presents evidence to support his belief that it was published in Boston by John Mein in Jan. 1766.
Attached to the last leaf is a slip containing extracts from the advertisement of this pamphlet which appeared in the Massachusetts gazette of Jan. 30, 1766 and was reprinted in the Newport Mercury of Feb. 17 and Mar. 3, 1766. (Cf. Alden, J.E. The Boston edition of Daniel Dulany's "Considerations ...").
