Incomplete; wanting the preliminary leaves containing the dedication and preface, the portraits of the Duchess of Richmond and of Matoaka (Pocahontas) the 2 plates and the map of New England, also the errata slip. This is the later of the two editions issued in 1632, as it has the re-engraved portrait of Charles I on the t.p. For an account of the variations in the editions of the "Generall historie" see Norton's Literary gazette, new ser., v. 1, p. 134-135 and p. 218-219, also Pilling's Bibliography of the Algonquian languages, 1891, p. 470-472. For a statement of the probable cause of the hiatus in the paging (p. 97-104) see Edward Arber's edition of Smith's Works, 1884, p. 490.
