Summary: Depicts subway cars, stations, and tracks in the Philadelphia transit system. Contains interior and exterior views of subway cars and elevated cars. Includes views of stations at Broad and Columbia, Park and Cumberland, Ridge Avenue, City Hall, Olney, and the abandoned Arch Street line. Illustrates elevated service on the Delaware River Bridge line and the Market and Frankford line, with several scenes of market Street at 30th. Documents the construction and opening of the S. Broad Street extension, including interior views of the Locust Street station, the Federal Ellsworth station ticket booth and turnsytles, and the Snyder Avenue station signal tower and exit.
