Summary: Contains views of hotels, inns, and taverns in Philadelphia, most of which show building exteriors. Many images are depicted with architectural renderings. Copy photography reproducing earlier images are also used. Highlights employee strikes at the Adelphia, the Majestic, and the Sylvania. Portrays evicted families from the Regent and Walton Hotels. Depicts the Lorraine and the Rittenhouse during fires. Contains interior views of barrooms and dining rooms at the Hotel Astor (in New York City), the Adelphia, Karlavagn's, and the Warwick. Other notable scenes include a high school swim competition at the Broadwood, and an indian village behind the Ritz-Carlton. Interior views of several rooms in the Warburton House at 20th and Sansom are shown. Maids, an outdoor cafe, and a smorgasbord table are some of the scenes depicted at the Walton. Other Walton items document the effect of a hotel employees strike on the guests. Oversize shows the exterior of the Spread Eagle Hotel.
