Coverage of the 1936 Democratic National Convention held in Philadelphia. Includes committees, delegations, women's groups and general crowd scenes. Contral locations pictured are the Civic Center, Franklin Field, and the Bellevue Stratford Hotel. Documents the convention program, political posters, tickets, and maps. Also contains parades and views of City Hall looking north from Broad street. Broadcasting and telegraph techniques are depicted, as are ushers, newsboys, and police. Donkeys and musical groups are depicted. Of note are two images of a depraved family at the convention from Texas.
