Photographs of debutantes and socialites in attendance at the annual Charity Ball in Philadelphia, Pa. Includes portraits of pageant entertainers, and some rehearsals. Also portrays social register members dancing for the Pennsylvania Cruise Ball from WCAU. Includes a view of a palm reading "swami" broadcasting from WFIL. Depicts the Assembly Ball at the Bellevue Stratford Hotel as well as reproductions of printed ephemera from balls. Other events represented include the Junior Bachelor's Ball, the Knights of Rhythm Dance, the Liberation Dinner Dance, the Lullaby Ball, the Marine Ball, the Officers Ball, the Pall Mall Dance, the Pennywise Ball, the Uniform Ball, and the Victory Ball.
