Item Description: Title vignette (Society seal).
The calendar pages are identical in content and typography with those in four other Philadelphia almanacs for this year, all naming Joshua Sharp as their calculator: Bailey's Rittenhouse, Bennett & Walton's, Kite's Town & Country, and Warner's. In the Agricultural and Warner'salmanacs the heads include seasonal illustrations, while in the others, prose. They apparently were printed by Lydia R. Bailey, who is named as theprinter of Bailey's and Kite's.
Signatures: [A]2 B-D6 E4( -E4).
Illustrations: Include seasonal cuts by A. Anderson, first printed in Johnson & Warner's almanac ... 1814, reprinted in the Agricultural almanacks at least through 1822, and in Warner's almanacs for the same period. Later, re-engraved, by Anderson, and printed, among others ofhis seasonal cuts, in Wood's Almanacs (for the years 1838, 1839).
Includes: Notes pertaining to the Society, with a list of the Officers for 1821; eclipses for 1822; schedule for the Yearly Meetings of the Society of Friends in the U.S.; agricultural information; notes onhydrostatic barrels, for preserving liquors; a table of Federal courts, and the courts of Pennsylvania.
