His academic activities have included teaching in the graduate faculty of the School of Social Work at the University of Pennsylvania. The collection consists largely of reference files and related materials collected by Lourie in his work for the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, the National Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Forum and as professional consultant for Community Mental Health and Family Services, Inc., at the Philippine Refugee Processing Center in Bataan. These materials relate primarily to refugees from Vietnam and Cambodia, and include correspondence, reports, conference materials, clippings, and printed materials. | ||
