After he was admitted to the Philadelphia bar in 1844, Martin focused on admiralty and insurance law, and continued practicing until 1881.
Volume 1 includes a history compiled by J. Hill Martin from notes of Rufus A. Grinder, 1866. Volume 2 is a set of manuscript notes for a work by Martin entitled "Sketches of Bethlehem and the Moravians." |
