The George D. Wetherill and Company records consists of financial records tracing the business of the enterprise from mid-ninteenth century to the first decades of the twentieth century. Documents in the collection include bills, invoices, orders, ledgers, day books, receipt books, sales journals, manifests of shipments, and correspondence between the company and clients. The collection is divided in two series, based on type of material: Series I is comprised of papers, and Series II of volumes. Wetherill was one of the oldest manufacturers of paint and coatings in America. This collection includes bills and receipts and other company records. |
