Summary: The donation, from the collection of Earl R. Fry and his son, Robert E. Fry, consists of approximately 150 postcards with black-and-white or colorized photos, or non-photographic color images, depicting numerous scenes in and around Philadelphia. Subjects include University of Pennsylvania buildings, Fairmount Park locales, Girard College, 30th Street Station, Lankenau Hospital, the Philadelphia Zoo, churches, street scenes, statues, shipyards, and others. About ten cards depict Valley Forge scenes, and there are a few cards depicting Washington, DC scenes. Many of the postcards have dates written in by hand. A few include messages and posmarks.
