Preserver: Stiff & heavy, more golden (1847-50). Mat: Double elliptical, with sandy finish (mid 1840-50). Case: Paper and leather covered wood frame embossed with a floral design both front and back, with a red velvet pinchpad, and a red velvet cushion embossed with a scrollwork design (1850s).
