Preserver: Stiff & heavy, more golden (1847-50). Mat: Oval with matte finish and simple embossed design (1850). Case: Leather-covered wood-frame embossed with a simple lined edge trim both front and back exterior, with a red velvet pinchpad and a plain (unembossed) red velvet cushion (ca. 1850). |
