Preserver: [none] (pre-1847). Mat: Octagonal with pebble finish (1839-mid 40s). Case: Leather-covered wood-frame embossed with a floral design on the front only, with a plain (unembossed) back and a purple velvet cushion embossed with the photographer's studio name and address (1846-48).
