Preservers: Straight, narrow, embossed with simple pattern (after 1850). Mats: Oval with matte finish and simple embossed design (1850). Case: Leather-covered wood-frame double cased Cutting ambrotype variation of Eickmeyer's common book-style case (Berg No. 5-75) with gilded lined edge trim both front and back interior and exterior, with brown velvet pinchpad and plain brown (unembossed) velvet cushions (ca. 1855).
