Preservers: Straight and embossed with simple pattern (after 1850). Mats: Double elliptical, more ornate (1850s onwards). Case: Leather covered wood-frame embossed with a floral design on the front and a geometric design on the back, with eggplant purple pinchpads (1850s). |
