Boucherville was absorbed by Longueuil in 2002. Longueuil is a suburb of Montreal and does not belong to any Regional County Municipality. In 2006 it reconstituted itself as an independent city, but remains part of the urban agglomeration of Longueuil. Marguerite-d'Youville Regional County Municipality, formerly called Lajemmerais (created in 1982), is located in the Montérégie region of southwestern Quebec. It does not include Boucherville.
