August 30, 1830--"Resolved, that it be earnestly recommended to the citizens of Pittsburg, to convene a meeting for the purpose of adopting measures of co-operation in the benevolent plan herein stated, by placing boxes in the steam-boats plying on the Ohio and other western waters of this state, to receive the contributions of liberal passengers for the benefit of the heirs of Robert Fulton."
