POW medal presentation James E. Arnold : 18 September 2011, Southeastern Church of Christ
"Gene" Arnold was wounded and captured on January 22, 1944, during the battle for Italy. He was transported to, and interned in, Stalag 4F, Hartmannsdorf-Chemnitz, Germany and eventually liberated by Russian soldiers on May 16, 1945, after 18 months in captivity.
