Summary: Portrait of Charles Henry Tucker Collis (1838-1902)  from the first of two photograph albums of important Philadelphia men taken by W. Curtis Taylor and Company. Collis was an Irish-American US Army officer and lawyer who received the Medal of Honor for his actions leading his regiment into battle in the American Civil War.  Following the war, Collis returned to practicing law, becoming an Assistant City Solicitor in Philadelphia.
