Northern Soup Society of Philadelphia minutes
The society was founded in 1817 and incorporated in 1839 to furnish soup, bread, and bathing facilities to the worthy poor in the Kensington area; its activities expanded to include a wide range of social activities. The minutes include reports from treasurers, auditors, and superintendents.
