520 |a A photographic reproduction, taken by Allison Chomet, of a drawing originally composed by Moira and Kali McNulty on a white-board in the conference room of the Historical Society of Pennsylvania [HSP], October 2014. The HSP conference room had been turned into a "green room" while the PBS series, "Genealogy Road Show," was being filmed in the Society's Reading Room. [The artists' mother, the Reverend Jennifer Berry, was being featured in an episode of that show.] The girls were very creative and used their artistic talents well. Since then, not only have HSP staff been resistant to erasing the daughters' drawing, they have even added to it. So: what to do with this chef d'oeuvre? Library Director Lee Arnold requested a photo of the image (as it now looked) and mailed it to the good Reverand Berry, asking her to get her daughters to autograph the back of the print and return it to HSP for cataloguing, where it'll be part of the historical collections forever. Then, and only then, would HSP staff not feel guilty erasing their artwork. Mr. Arnold, calling on Higher Powers, wrote: "You would truly be doing the Lord's work if you could aid in this endeavour. We need our white board back--although our meetings will never seem the same after it is gone!" Reverend Berry complied with great aplomb.
