Printer's mark on t.p. With this as with other editions of the same work, is bound the author's "Les mvses de la Novvelle France". Paris, J. Millot, 1612. The first book covers the voyages of Verrazano, Laudonnière, Ribaut, de Gourgues, etc.; the second book, the expedition of Villegagnon to Brazil; the third, Cartier's voyages; the fourth and fifth, those of de Monts, Poutrincourt, Champlain, etc.; the sixth contains a description of the natives. For bibliographical description of Lescarbot's works see C.C. Smith in Winsor, J. Nar. & crit. hist. of America. 1895. v. 4, p. 149-151; Harrisse. Notes ...
