Many portraits emphasize black and white children playing together. Highlights baseball and swimming. Some centers shown are at such locations as 5th and Allegheny, 5th and Washington, 26th and Master, and Cumberland and Orienna. Documents exterior building views at Sherwood Park, the Kingsessing Recreation Center, and the Shot Tower. Portrays a children's circus at Smith's Memorial Playground, and playing house at the Stanfield Playground. Includes views of street showers.
