Summary: This small collection contains two handwritten notes with genelogical information on the Widerman family, which appears to have originated in Eastern Europe. There are also three postcards from the 1930s sent to Mr. H. Widerman of Philadelphia from family members in Bialystock, Poland. They are written in Yiddish and two of them have accompanying transcriptions. There is also an 1908 photograh of three women (possibly identified in Yiddish on verso); a copy of a circa 1900 photograph that shows the liquor store of Samuel J. Blumberg at 6th and Spruce street; and two invitations to the Honrable Arnold M. Blumberg to the openings of the Delaware River Bridge in 1926 and the Delaware River Bridge Rail Transit Line in 1936. An envelope and personal letter to Jim Widerman that contains family history notes have been removed to the collection folder.
