This small collection contains an assortment of original and photocopied writings, correspondence, and family trees pertaining to these intertwined families. Some of the family members in the collection include William Paul Morris and his wife May Paul, Joseph and John Sharp, Sydney Sharp Morris and his wife Helen Stokes Doughten, Josiah Bunting, Jonathan Jones Wheeler, Samuel Wheeler, and many others. Other items original letters from John Sharp describing his voyage to Philadelphia from England in 1815, many original photographs of various family members, original and copies of genealogical records, two copies of a section from the 11 February 1912 section of the North American titled "Lincoln's Love for Billy Herndon and How it Was Requited," a book titled Personal Reminiscences of "The Main Line" in the Sixties and Seventies (1919), and two framed Peale silhouettes of Samuel Wheeler (1742-1820) and Charles Wheeler (1788-1858). |
