Summary:	This collection consists of annual programs for the ball, 1938-2010 (some years missing), and five photograph albums, 1998-2000. The Philadelphia Charity Ball began in 1881 to promote social awareness and entrepreneurship among the city's youth. An elegant formal ball including a traditional "Cotillion" dance is the centerpiece of fundraising efforts, for which a beneficiary is chosen by each year's participants.
