Summary: Thomas L. Thomas was a Welsh immigrant to the United States, and a popular singer of light classical and ethnic Welsh music. Some of his records were issued by RCA Victor. His art extended to stage, radio, television and records, including appearances at Carnegie Hall and the NBC radio network. The height of his career appears to have been the 1940s and early 1950s. Later in his career, he went on the lecture circuit, eventually retiring to AZ. Thomas was also the youngest person to ever win the Metropolitan Opera's National Voice Competition,in 1937, as well as the first Welsh winner. The accession contains audio-visual materials, photographs, plaques, posters and performance publications relating to Welsh singer Thomas L. Thomas.
