Preserver: Fancier with inward points at the corners (after 1858). Mat: Oval with matte finish and ornate (late 1850s). Case: Paper-covered wood frame embossed with a geometric design both front and back, with a red velvet pinchpad, and a red velvet cushion embossed with a scrollwork design (1850-60s). |
