Summary: Full Title: The Battle of Saint Mary's, a Serio comic ballad with desultory remarks on the dissentions in that church, by an observer Wholly unconnected to the Parties, but wishing well for Liberty and Peace.

This pamphlet is a somewhat satirical retelling of the St. Mary riots of April 1822. The riots were the result of a trial against Rev. William Hogan in which he was expulsed from the Catholic Church. This event marked the end to what is known as the "Hogan Schism."
